Strengthening Australia-U.S. Defence Industrial Cooperation: Keynote by Deputy Secretary Hugh Jeffrey

The CSIS Defense-Industrial Initiatives Group (DIIG) and Australia Chair will host Hugh Jeffrey, Deputy Secretary of Strategy, Policy, and Industry at the Australian Department of Defence, for the keynote session of the conference Strengthening Australia-U.S. Defence Industrial Cooperation in Canberra, Australia.

Dr. Cynthia R. Cook, Director of DIIG and a Senior Fellow in the International Security Program (ISP), will introduce Deputy Secretary Jeffrey, who will provide a keynote speech and participate in a discussion moderated by Dr. Charles Edel, CSIS Senior Adviser and Australia Chair.

The keynote session will take place on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm EST (Wednesday, March 6, 2024, 8:30 am - 9:30 am AEDT). The live streamed discussion will focus on joint efforts between Australia and the United States to better integrate their industrial bases and address geostrategic threats in the Indo-Pacific region.
