On the Ground in Israel: Expert Perspectives

January 17, 2024 • 3:00 – 4:00 pm EST

Please join the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) on Wednesday, January 17, at 3:00 p.m. ET for a virtual discussion with CSIS International Security Program scholars on their recent trip to Israel, where they spent a week on the ground speaking with military and intelligence officials along with other experts about the war with Hamas.

CSIS International Security Program Director Dr. Seth G. Jones will moderate a conversation with CSIS Arleigh A. Burke Chair in Strategy Dr. Eliot A. Cohen, and Mara Rudman, former Deputy Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs for the Obama and Clinton administrations. They will discuss what questions might remain for Israel and the region after a defeat of Hamas and implications of a wider regional conflict.

This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
