Geoeconomic Council of Advisers

The CSIS Geoeconomic Council of Advisers is a body of distinguished economists with expertise across key industries including semiconductors, real estate, and energy. The council is chaired by Kirti Gupta, CSIS senior adviser and vice president and chief economist of global technology at Cornerstone Research.

The work of the Geoeconomic Council of Advisers seeks to provide an actionable way forward on the critical and emerging economic issues facing the global economy today. The Council will publish briefs following their quarterly meetings providing policymakers and the public with vital insights into the changing geopolitical environment that is directly affecting the United States’ economy and national security. The council will also work towards broader engagement of the public and private sectors to share their perspectives as economists, innovators, and business leaders.
