Eric Williams

Eric Williams is a military fellow representing the United States Marine Corps at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He joins CSIS after serving as the inspector-instructor for the 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, in Bristol, Pennsylvania. He is an artillery officer and has served in a variety of roles throughout his career. His previous billets included assignments at the 10th Marine Regiment in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; 11th Marine Regiment in Twentynine Palms, California; 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company in Okinawa, Japan; and the Commandant’s Strategic Initiatives Group at the Pentagon. He has also served as recruiting station commanding officer and division chief for targeting and effects at Special Operations Command Europe. He has deployed multiple times to Iraq and on marine expeditionary unit operations. He earned a Master of Military Studies from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College and his undergraduate degree from Auburn University.
