  On July 15, the Qinghai-Henan ±800 kV UHVDC transmission project (hereinafter referred to as the "Qinghai-Henan project") commenced power transmission. Far East's independently developed 1250 series large cross-section conductor has crossed thousands of mountains and rivers with this project, contributing to the construction of a "highway" for west-to-east power transmission, forging a "steel frame" for the green power corridor.

    Far East Strength Supports Energy "Corridor"

  The Qinghai-Henan project starts from Hainan Prefecture in Qinghai Province and ends in Zhumadian City in Henan Province, passing through four provinces: Qinghai, Gansu, Shaanxi, and Henan, with a total length of 1,587 kilometers. The transmission voltage level is ±800 kV, with a transmission capacity of 8 million kW. This project is a key project during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period and is also the world's first major UHV transmission channel primarily dedicated to new energy transmission.

  

  This project has comprehensively broken through key technologies such as high-proportion and large-scale new energy transmission and UHV DC transmission in high-altitude areas, solved problems like localization of core UHV DC equipment and enhancement of fire safety capabilities in converter stations. It plays a significant role in supporting the development of Qinghai's energy pillar industries, promoting the transformation of resource advantages into economic benefits, ensuring Henan's rapidly growing electricity demand, and driving economic and social development. At the same time, it strongly promotes upgrades in UHV technology, further consolidating China's technological advantages in this field. Under the trend of new infrastructure, this project will have a huge promoting effect on the large-scale construction of UHV in China.

  Participating in this project is an important achievement for Far East to continuously seize opportunities presented by the "13th Five-Year Plan" for power planning and energy internet construction, fully leveraging its comprehensive strength and market competitiveness. It is another key project successfully served by Far East.

    Far East Technology Connects Power "Highways"

  The 1250 series large cross-section conductor used in this project is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly overhead conductor. It adopts a four-layer aluminum strand structure with high self-damping performance, strong stability, and a large diameter. By enhancing the strength and conductivity of aluminum and increasing the conductive area, it increases transmission capacity, reduces line loss, decreases the electric field intensity on the surface of the conductor, avoids corona discharge, and reduces interference with radio waves.

  

  With an aluminum cross-sectional area reaching 1250 mm², it can improve the transmission power of lines, reduce the number of line corridors, enhance grid transmission efficiency, and achieve comprehensive economic benefits throughout the life cycle of the conductor. It has obvious advantages in high-voltage, high-altitude, large-capacity, and long-distance lines. Besides the Qinghai-Henan project, this type of product has also been applied to dozens of projects such as the Jiuquan-Hunan ±800 kV UHVDC transmission line project, Shanghai Temple-Shandong UHVDC transmission project (Shandong section), and the Changji-Guquan 1100 kV UHV project.

  As a participant in the construction of the national power grid, Far East has made special contributions to the development of the power industry.

    Far East Climbs Industry "New Heights"

  Since participating in the construction of China's first UHV transmission line - the Jin Southeast-Nanyang-Jingmen 1000 kV UHV AC demonstration project in 2009, Far East has accumulated rich experience in the UHV field, forming a significant leading advantage. It can provide overall solutions for UHV projects in different scenarios, fully meeting the needs of grid construction. This is attributed to Far East's strong R&D capability and advanced manufacturing level.

  

  After 35 years of deep cultivation in the industry, Far East has established a national accredited laboratory, academician expert workstation, postdoctoral research station, national-level enterprise technology center, and provincial-level overhead conductor and power cable engineering technology research center, continuously improving its technological innovation platform.

  

  Over the years, Far East has successively obtained authorization for more than 300 patents, received recognition for dozens of high-tech products at the provincial level, and participated multiple times in formulating national and industry standards, leading the high-quality development of the industry.
